Spain Info

Spain's best tourist informations website,
we could not do it better

The Costa Blanca offers more than a chance to do some swimming or sunbathing at clean, blue-flag beaches. There is a complete infrastructure for sports-lovers of all kinds. You’ll discover that many coastal municipalities have their own sailing schools, and some of the most dynamic of these run their own scuba diving courses in summer. All this happens at any of the twenty one sports marinas along the Costa Blanca. Pleasure ports and nautical clubs here have full programmes throughout the year, from the famous 200-mile Regata two miles off Altea to competitions of a more local nature.

Also close to the shore you’ll find ten golf clubs to practice a sport that is gaining more and more enthusiasts each year in Spain and Europe. If you’re interested in golf, there are special offers enabling you to play at all the courses along the Costa Blanca with accommodation at a select group of hotels at attractive prices. For further information, contact the Golf Course Association or the central Tourist Office of the Costa Blanca.

Other attractions on the sports lineup include the risky yet exciting bungee jumping in Alcoi (known locally as puenting) and over the tunnels of the Mascarat between Altea and Calpe, hang-gliding from the cliffs of Sella, trekking throughout the interior, especially in the sierras of Bernia and Aitana, and hiking in the valleys of the Marina Alta and Baja, the district of La Montaña and the Alto Vinalopó.
